新闻： Limewire在blog中写道了2010年Lilith Fair音乐节，提到Christina将会进行表演。
Billboard更是指出，表演的名单有Sheryl Crow, Christina Aguilera, Erykah Badu, Dixie Chicks, Missy Elliot, The Pretenders, Nelly Furtado, Jewel, Queen Latifah, Indigo Girls, Tegan & Sara and Sarah McLachlan. （当然 这其中有些歌手不一定能进行多天的表演，Badu, Tegan & Sara, and Aguilera 这些歌手会忙着在那时推出新专辑。）

Lilith Fair是加拿大女歌手Sarah Mclachlan（莎拉－麦克拉克兰）于1997年创办的音乐节，当时Sarah mclachlan在加拿大举办巡回演唱会，邀请了来自美国的女歌手Paula Cole结伴而行，她的想法是希望借助演唱会的巡回演出弘扬女性独立意识，鼓励女性同胞们勇敢地去面对一切的磨难，勇敢面对生活，并希望提供给女性歌手们一个彼此交流、切磋的机会。由此产生了再邀请一些其他女歌手共同举办大型音乐节，宣扬女性自主意识的念头。Lilith是希伯来神话中的人物，她是伊甸园中亚当的第一任妻子，认为自己同样被上帝所创造，同样来源于尘土，因此她要求享有与亚当同等的权利和地位，后被亚当逐出伊甸园，这才有了上帝用亚当的助骨创造夏娃的故事。Sarah Mclachlan引用Lilith作为音乐节的名称，非常符合创办之初的宗旨与基本精神。
Lilith Fair自创办以来，就一直与公益事业紧密相关，每承办一届音乐节，就会捐献出一笔巨资给全国性的慈善组织，每经一地演出，主办单位都会从每张门票收入中捐献一美元给当地的非营利性慈善组织，并且捐献对象以“防治家庭暴力”机构为主，妇女和儿童是最终受益者。随着Lilith Fair音乐节影响力的日益扩大，吸引了大量赞助商加盟，在这些赞助商的参与帮助下，促成了一批全国性全新公益组织机构建立，并且日益发挥作用. Lilith Fair带给人们的深刻意义在于：唤醒了女性歌手的独立意识，摆脱了只是一味供人娱乐的花瓶形象，通过女性艺人的创作与演唱，将全新的女性人生价值观传播开去，让艺人与观众共同实现对生命意义的思考和对社会现实的剖析。能过三年的努力，Lilith Fair精神已经深入民心，获得广泛的认同。Sarah mclachlan与主办单位认为：Lilith Fair举办的目的已经达到，如果为了经济效益而继续承办下去，票房虽然会有保证，但随着时代与环境的变迁，Lilith原有的精神和意义会随之变味、消解，转化成一项纯商业的活动，这正是主办者所不愿看到的。所以在1999年的演出结束之后不久，Sarah mclachlan宣布Lilith Fair停办了。
阔别十年之后，Lilith Fair女性音乐节再度归来，演出地点也改在欧洲大陆，想必主办方是希望Lilith Fair精神可以在更多的土地上得到宣扬，让更多的女性从中收益，衷心希望Lilith Fair音乐节可以再次获得巨大成功！

Get Ready for Lilith Fair 2010
Back in April, we reported that Lilith Fair organizer Terry McBride had turned to Twitter to announce that the festival would be resurrected in 2010. At the time, the big news was that Lilith Fair, which has already been on hiatus for a full decade, would be hitting up Europe for two weeks. And although McBride had promised to reveal more about the festival in September, he’s just now coming out with some news.
Although the latest statement from Nettwerk Music Group, where McBride serves as the current CEO, doesn’t mention a European jaunt, it does confirm that Lilith Fair is totally on. Organizers are planning to hit 18 cities next year, including New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Vancouver and Toronto. No dates are set yet, and we don’t know who will be headlining, either. But McBride did mention that the festival was hoping to bring back acts who played at original Lilith Fairs in 1997-1999. Billboardpoints out that some of those performers include Sheryl Crow, Christina Aguilera, Erykah Badu, Dixie Chicks, Missy Elliot, The Pretenders, Nelly Furtado, Jewel, Queen Latifah, Indigo Girls, Tegan & Sara and Sarah McLachlan. (And it seems relevant to point out that, while many of these acts aren’t doing too much these days, Badu, Tegan & Sara, and Aguilera either have new albums out or are in the process of recording.)
McBride is mum for now, but he does have this to say: “I can assure fans that we have some exciting announcements over the course of the following weeks, from confirmed artists to additional cities to innovative social initiatives. Lilith 2010 is very much upon us.” Ladies, I think we all know what this means: It’s time to start growing out the old armpit hair again…
